Adobe Acrobat Reader DC contains many capabilities specifically designed to make it easier for people with disabilities to read PDF files, regardless of whether the files have been optimized for accessibility. Aug 13, 2018 - To set a PDF viewer as the default on Mac OS X: Select any PDF file. Control-click to open the menu, and choose File > Get Info. From the Open with: drop-down menu, select your preferred application, such as Adobe Reader or Preview. Click Change All button, and in the subsequent dialog box, click Continue. Rename it back to the original file name, and it opens the previous version again. Acrobat has this behavior on 2 of the 5 Mac Pro systems in our office.
